IGNOU Assignment Last date Extended, Applicable to Project submission too.

This is applicable to All Programme student under TEE June 2024 SSN including Master and Bachelor Degree. IGNOU Assignment last date is common for all students irrespective of Admission year, Programme or Mode (ODL or OL).

IGNOU Assignment last date is always extended from 31 march to 30 April because of extension in admission date for January session. Student can submit assignment for June 2024 session before the deadline date.  Click to know "Assignment Writing Tips" effectively. Check previous Session extended last date(s) here for reference purpose. Extension notification is delayed for coming June session because of weekend holiday in end of march month.

Further, IGNOU Exam form last date is extended till 25  May 2024 . So it implies in a way that Assignment last date also to be again extended around the last date of exam form submission. This is as per previous session practice of extension in last date for assignment and exam form together.  Also the study material delay delivery is reason for assignment date extension. Assignment submission for June 2024 session has started from 1 March 2024. Both ODL and OL Programme mode student has to submit assignment for each course code. IGNOU Exam form submission has also started and student can Apply for exam.

IGNOU assignment last date is a time frame given to the students. They need to download question paper and submit assignment answers at Study centre (for ODL mode students ) or at LMS (for OL mode students ). Assignment to be submitted at study centre in Offline mode (in person / Speed Post) or as per your Regional Centre guidelines.

The last date is mentioned on the assignment question paper itself. As per assignment question paper for few programme last date is 31 March 2024 while it is 30 April 2024 for few programme.  The Bottom line is 30 April 2024 is the last date for all IGNOU Programme because last date is never programme specific.

Assignment submission is mandatory for writing the examination.

All Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma and PG Diploma Programme student should download the Assignment question paper, write assignment answer and submit the same in March – April 2024 . All Certificate student who has not submitted assignment for TEE December 2023 session can now submit assignment in March – April 2024 All semester-based programme student (eg. BCA, MCA, MBA, etc) if not submitted assignment for TEE December 2023 can now submit assignment in March – April 2024.

IGNOU Assignment paper is available to download in soft copy PDF format . Student need to visit below link given in table to download the same. As per your programme type viz Master , Bachelor , PG Diploma, Ceritificate or Diploma you can click on link. Later you need to select your programme. Then by clicking your course code you can download IGNOU Assignment in PDF format.

IGNOU has also opened the link for Project submission online under TEE June 2024 Session . The Last date is 31 May 2024 for IGNOU Report Submission. IGNOU Project December 2023 session submission last date was 30 November 2023 . However IGNOU Synopsis can be submitted till 31 December 2023. IGNOU Assignment deadline is extended time to time by the official notification. Extension granted in assignment last date for the previous session is mentioned below for reference purpose.

Submission of IGNOU Assignment is compulsory to be eligible for appearing in theory exam (TEE). There is a provision of assignment submission declaration while submitting IGNOU exam form online. Old student who has gap in submission of assignment must ensure their admission or RR is valid . Click here to check your admission/ RR validity.

All Master (MSW, MAPC, MSCENV, MTTM etc) , Bachelor (BAEGH, BAHIH, BASOH, BAUDH etc),  PG Diploma (PGDHE, PGDAC, PGDAST, PGDRD etc), Diploma (DTS, DHORT, DAFE, DSCDM etc),  Certificate (CNCC, CIT, CUL, CBS, CTS ect) Student who has taken Admission / RR in July 2023 Session or prior is eligible to submit assignment for June 2024 Session*. Certificate and semester based programme students are eligible to submit assignment within 6 months.

IGNOU assignment is a set of questions to test student’s comprehension of learning the materials they receive from the University and also to help them get through the courses by providing feedback to them. The main objective of assignments is to keep student spend time in studying the course material. Student can download assignment question paper online and link is given in below table.

The status of assignment can be checked online and is reflected in Grade Card after few weeks. Submitting neat and legible assignment response can help to fetch extra score .

After Assignment submission student can submit IGNOU Exam form online. Hall ticket / admit card is generated 10 - 15 day before the start of examination. IGNOU datesheet is issued nearly 2 months before the start of exam.

Note : In IGNOU assignment submission last date is NOT programme specific.  Last date is common for ALL Programme . Generally, for most of the programme assignment last date is written as 31st March or 30th September on the assignment question paper. But if you see the assignment question paper for various paper you will find last date is 30th April and 31st October. For example see and click on below picture.

How to submit IGNOU Assignment ?

IGNOU assignment plays very important role in fetching good percentage of marks, so you should give attention to the assignment portion along with your theory exam. Assignment should be hand written. After wring assignment answer attach cover page ( Click here for cover page) on each of your assignment. Tie all the pages nicely to avoid any paper misplacement during evaluation. You have to submit assignment to your study centre ( Click here to know your IGNOU study center)  before last date. You can submit IGNOU assignment in two ways. 1. By visiting to your study center in person and take submission receipt. 2. By post. In this case keep speed post tracking number safely for future reference.

IGNOU Project Submission Guideline is given below.

Please ensure your final report should contain the •    Synopsis Approved Format in original, along with “Synopsis” . •    Guide’s Bio-data and •    Certificate of originality is duly signed by both the Student and the Project Guide with date and any other annexure as mentioned in Project Manual. •    Ensure that the Original Project Report is to be scanned in a single pdf format file.

What is Assignment Submission Deadline in IGNOU ?

IGNOU assignment last date is also called the deadline to submit assignment at Study center. Online mode (OL) learner need to submit assignment at LMS (Learning Management System). As per University Calendar Assignment submission is done twice every year for June and December session .

As per instruction, IGNOU assignment submission last date varies from programme to programme. The due date is mentioned in the instruction page of assignment question paper.

  • For TEE June Cycle / Session   : In this cycle Assignment submission starts from 1st March and ends on 31 March but in some case (like when admission for January Cycle is delayed ) the University  extends the last date for assignment submission like for TEE June 2022 session it was extended upto 20th July 2022 and
  • For TEE Dec Cycle/ Session : In this cycle Assignment submission start from 1st September and ends on 30th September but in some case (like when admission for July Cycle is delayed) the University extends the last date for assignment submission.

Explained with Example

1. For Student of Year based UG, PG, PG Diploma or Diploma programme

Any student who got admitted in Jan 2022 Admission Cycle and his/her programme is Year based (Eg : MEG, MPS, MCOM, MPA etc) such learner is supposed to submit 1st Year assignment between 1 - 30th Sep 2021 and this session is considered as TEE DEC 2022 SESSION . For any extension in submission date for that session may be checked on the website. Failing in assignment submission for TEE DEC 2022 SESSION, then leaner can submit the assignment in the next coming cycle.

2. For Student of Semester based UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma and Certificate programme

Any student who got admitted in Jan 2022 Admission Cycle and his/her programme is Semester based (Eg: BCA, MCA, MP, PGCCL etc) such learner is supposed to submit 1st Semester assignment between 1 - 30th March 2021 and this session is considered as TEE JUNE 2022 SESSION .For any extension in submission date for that session may be checked on the website. Failing in assignment submission for TEE JUNE 2022 SESSION, then leaner can submit the assignment in the next coming cycle.

Note : Assignment Question paper can be downloaded from University Website. Before writing assignment answers check the validity of Assignment question paper which is written on the Assignment Question paper itself. Student who could submit assignment then they need to download fresh Assignment Question paper from website.

The IGNOU Student Evaluation Division (SED) monitors and updates Term-end examinations result, assignments submisisons and extension of dates, projects, practical examinations, dissertations, viva-voce, field work, etc. and award of  degrees/ Diplomas/ certificates.

First year July 2023 admission session students of MEG, MCOM, , MHD, MPS, MAH, MSO, MAPC, MEC, MPA, MAAN, MGPS, MARD, MSCDFSM, MSCCFT, MSW, MSWC, MAEDU, MADE, MAAE, MAPY, MADVS,  MAGD, MATS, MAJMC etc can submit assignment for June 2024 session. The last date of IGNOU assignment is 30 April 2024.

Yes, IGNOU Assingment Question papers are made available on the website in each session of admission. It can be easily downloaded from the IGNOU Website.

Once a learner submitted the assignment, never forget to check the assignment submission status on the website after few weeks.

Generally Once the assignment submission date is over, Study Center takes necessary  steps to get the assignment evaluated and is sent to the approved evaluator / Academic Counsellor of IGNOU for evaluation. Later when Evaluator completes the evaluation and tabulation of marks course wise then it submitted to the Study Center Co-ordinator. Later it is uploaded on the University website.

How can I Check my IGNOU assignment submission status ?

The status of assignment submitted for TEE June Cycle/Session starts reflecting on the website from June/July month. Similarly the status of assignment submitted  for TEE December Cycle/Session starts reflecting on the website  from December/January month. After the transmission of assignment data from study center or regioanl center finally after few days/weeks assignment marks is updated in the Grade Card.

How to resolve Discrepancy in IGNOU assignment submission status ?

Any discrepancy in your assignment submission status, you may bring to the notice of Co-ordinator OR functionaries of study center for immediate resolution. If any discrepancy found : Student need not to be panic. They should contact Study Center Co-ordinator in the Month of

  • August/ September for assignment  submitted for June Cycle/ Session.
  • Feb/ March for assignment submitted for Dec Cycle/ Session.

Indira Gandhi National Open University has extended the deadline to submit IGNOU projects/ dissertation/ practical files/ internship reports for June TEE 2024 till May 31. Students must submit their reports in online mode, by clicking on the link below, by the deadline. The IGNOU has published the IGNOU assignment list for the IGNOU June TEE 2024. The Indira Gandhi National Open University has opened the IGNOU June 2024 TEE online submission portal to submit their final project/dissertation/internship reports in online mode.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has released the IGNOU assignments for the July 2024 session. After the deadline of assignment submission, Indira Gandhi National Open University opens an online facility for candidates to check the ignou.ac.in assignment status. Candidates can check the IGNOU assignment of their project/assignment by using their enrolment number, date of birth and code of the programme. The IGNOU has released the guidelines that students must comply while preparing and submitting their assignments. Here are the updated guidelines:

All the assignment should be hand written.

Students must use A4 ruled paper (unless it is instructed on your TMA).

Leave 4 cm margin on left and right side of each page.

Do not use staplers, to bind the pages; you use need threads (what is typically found with cover files).

Avoid using any ink colour other than blue and black.

First you need to attach the cover page (You will find it at your study centre).

Then, attach a photocopy of your IGNOU ID card.

After that, attach a copy of your TMA (question paper on your assignment document).

Lastly, attach your hand written answers.

Leave one blank page in the end.

Do not use any files while submitting your assignments. Your assignment should only consist of the pages, tied with a thread.

You must take a submission receipt, which will be stamped by the study centre with submission dates. In case, your study centre is unable to provide you one, take a photocopy of the cover page of your assignment and get that stamped.

Note: For submission of practicals, you need to use a cover file.

This article is for students.

You turn in your work online in Classroom. Depending on the type of assignment and attachments, you’ll see Turn in or Mark as Done .

Any assignment turned in or marked done after the due date is recorded as late.

Important: 

  • You can only submit an assignment before the due date.
  • If you need to edit an assignment you submitted, unsubmit the assignment before the due date, make your changes, and resubmit.
  • Attach one or more files to your assignment.
  • Upload photos from a camera roll.
  • Open and work on files you own in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drawings and then attach them to your assignment.

Turn in an Assignment Using Google Classroom (Web)

Go to classroom.google.com  and click Sign In.

Sign in with your Google Account. For example,  [email protected] or [email protected] .  Learn more .

and then

  • Select the attachment or enter the URL for a link and click Add .

Docs

  • Click the file and enter your information.

Important : If you get an error message when you click Turn in , let your instructor know.

Turn in a quiz

  • Click the form and answer the questions.
  • Click Submit . If the form is the only work for the assignment, the status of the assignment changes to Turned in .
  • If there's more work to do for the assignment, click Open assignment .

Turn in an assignment with an assigned doc

If your teacher attached a document with your name in the title, it’s your personal copy to review and edit. As you work, your teacher can review your progress before you click Turn in . 

  • Click the image with your name to open the assigned file.
  • Enter your work.
  • On the document or in Classroom, click Turn in and confirm.

Important: If you get an error message when you click Turn in , let your instructor know.

Mark an assignment as done

Important: Any assignment turned in or marked done after the due date is recorded as late, even if you previously submitted the work before the due date.

IGNOU Assignment Submission: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date to submit assignments for ODL and Online programmes. Now, candidates can submit their work till October 31, 2023. However, it is advised to submit them before the deadline as no further extensions may be provided.

A Late Work Policy That Works for Teachers and Students

Creating clear boundaries around when students can submit assignments after the due date can boost morale for everyone.

When the end of a term approaches, educator social media is full of images and commentary on the sheer amount of grading that will be coming their way. From images of monstrous waves or an exhausted teacher grasping a large cup of coffee, the stress is palpable. So how do we make this better for everyone, including teachers, students, families, case coordinators, and everyone else struggling at the end of the term?

As educators, we want to be considerate of the fact that students have yet to acquire excellent management skills. But we also need to protect our own mental health and teach students the responsibility that comes with completing assignments and turning in work. 

Designing a Late Work Policy With Students

Some years back, I had a high school world language class with a wonderful group of students—but getting work from them was challenging on a good day. After one particularly exhausting end of the term when I received a monumental amount of late work, I flatly said, “We can’t do this again.” Shockingly, they agreed. I gave the class 30 minutes to discuss as a class what they thought could be a fair policy. The requirements were simple: 

1. Simplicity. This policy had to be easy for me to manage as a teacher.

2. Accountability. It couldn’t be a free-for-all with no accountability. 

I could easily write a separate article on how to have students design class policies, but that is for a different time. Here is what the students came up with as a proposal:

Assessment as final deadline: All homework and classwork is accepted full credit until the assessment—then it is not accepted at all. This also counts for any retakes (or corrections) to other activities or smaller assessments. 

The 55 percent rule: If a student does the large majority of the assignments up until assessment, they do not get less than 55 percent on any assessment. This gives students an incentive to get their work done and make arrangements with the teacher to keep on track. It should be very unlikely that a student will do the majority of assignments related to an assessment and get below 55 percent. However, if it does happen, they know that there are policies in place to help them.

If a student does get below 55 percent and has done the large majority of the work, this forces me as an educator to consider the cause. Did other students have similar troubles? If so, was the assessment reflective of the work done in class? If this student was an outlier, perhaps they simply had a rough day (which does happen)?

Assessment as proof of competency: If a student is missing an assignment and they get above a certain score on the assessment, they can get partial credit for any missing work related to the assessment. The students were very clear that this was not a reason to not do work, but rather it was to allow students to focus on critical assignments if they get behind. 

Assessment as redo attempt: If a student does well on a final unit assessment, they can have their grade raised for smaller assessments leading up to that larger one. This was because they showed understanding in areas where they had struggled before. 

Once this policy was created, I shared it with all my sections. Students overwhelmingly supported it. So, we decided to implement it on a trial basis. Once that was a success, I shared this with colleagues, and they implemented it in their classrooms as well. It is now a regular course policy and is shared in all of my course syllabi.

After we set this policy up in my classroom, I observed a variety of benefits.

Morale boost for teacher and students: There was an immediate turnaround for both me and my students. Students who felt that failure was inevitable were motivated and engaged. And I felt better about giving students another chance-–but with boundaries. 

Increased accountability: Students held each other accountable for their own success and admitted when they were not putting in their effort. Parents were highly supportive; it was clear why a student was not successful, and this saved a lot of time responding to parent emails.

Better-quality work: Work was less rushed, which led to better quality, deeper learning, and stronger assessment scores. Students told me they had often rushed through work so it wouldn’t be marked late, but this gave them time to do quality work and therefore learn in the process.

Students did the work: Very few students used the “proof of competency policy” as a chance to simply not do work. Rather, this policy helped students prioritize missing work if they got really behind. Although I worried that this policy might be taken advantage of, only a small handful of students tried—and they realized very quickly that this was not a recipe for success. 

Range of grades: There was still a wide range of grades. Highly skilled students who had an excellent understanding of the content still earned excellent grades. Those who struggled earned grades that weren’t quite as high, but they felt empowered with the recognition of their efforts.

So why does this policy work? I believe there are two main reasons. The first is assurance. Provided they do “their part,” students feel that they can be successful and are assured that their efforts do matter. If they make mistakes, life events make submitting work challenging, or the content gets particularly hard for them, there are structures in place to help them. Second, there is a sense of control for the students. Students crave the opportunity to have control over their future, and they are able to recognize what is fair and how they (and their classmates) should be held accountable for their responsibilities.

In the body of the email, mention any relevant details or specific instructions provided by your instructor. Clearly state that you are submitting your assignment and acknowledge the due date. If there are any additional comments or questions related to the assignment, include them here.

End your email with a courteous closing, such as “Thank you,” or “Best regards,” followed by your full name and contact information. This shows professionalism and makes it easy for the recipient to respond if necessary.

Assignment Submission Dates

After completing the assignment settings and clicking on the Save and Display button you will be redirected to the Turnitin assignment page. Clicking on the Turnitin assignment from the course homepage also redirects you to the Turnitin assignment page.

All the assignment dates are contained within the Summary tab for the Turnitin assignment. The due date will default to a week after the date the assignment was created.

To change the assignment dates click on the pencil icon to the right of the dates.

Use the drop-down menus to change the date and times for the Start Date, Due Date, or the Post Date. You may also change the assignment part name and the assignment point value. Once you have finished editing the dates click on the Submit button to save your changes.

Start Date - The start date defines the earliest time a student can make a submission to the assignment part.

Due Date - This is the final date by which the student should have submitted their assignment. If you are allowing late submissions, the submissions will be marked as late after this date.

Post Date - This is the date when marks/grades will be released to students. If anonymous marking is turned on (UK only) this is also the date when marks will be released to students.

Turnitin Class Owner - Within Turnitin a class created via Moodle Direct can be managed by multiple instructors. Moodle allows multiple instructors to work on a class and the integration also supports multiple instructors. By clicking the pencil (only instructors can do this) you are redirected to a screen where you can add / remove any currently enrolled Moodle Teacher as an instructor on the Turnitin class.

This setting has no effect within Moodle itself and only controls who can see the class within Turnitin. You must log-in to Turnitin to see this change. In the majority of cases you will never need to change this setting or login to Turnitin. In a future release of Turnitin multiple Instructors will be supported and this setting will be removed from the integration.

The last date of the online submission of the assignment is said to be of April 2024 but it can be changed if the official announces it from the head office of the IGNOU or else it will be as it it now. IGNOU Project 2024: Submission Last Date, Status, Result 2024

IGNOU Project Submission for June 2024 – IGNOU Project submission for term end examination of June 2024 is now officially started for those students who have practical components in their syllabus. It is now official that the last date for submission of IGNOU Projects will be 31st May 2024 for TEE June 2024  for online as well as offline modes.

IGNOU is one of the most prestigious distance learning universities in India that has been offering a diverse number of programs and courses. Along with the operations of many other Universities, the operation of IGNOU has been also impacted by the current situation in the country. Hence, it has made a number of changes in its curriculum in order to provide the students with comfortable options for completing their assignments and projects and submitting them accordingly safely.

IGNOU Project Guidelines

IGNOU frequently releases a list of guidelines for both assignments and projects so that the students can submit them properly and on time. The university has introduced an online mode for project submission to make submissions convenient for the candidates.

IGNOU Project

The notice also mentioned a few of the points that the students need to abide by for their IGNOU project submission.

  • The project has to be prepared as per the same project guidelines that were mentioned in the booklet that was sent to the students earlier with the SLM.
  • While submitting the project online, the learners have to make sure that they have signed the original Proposal Proforma, Biodata, and synopsis or the project. Similarly, the Project Guide has to sign on the original certificate and others and then have to scan copies for online submission.
  • The learners should get digital approval of the Project Guide on the Proforma and the synopsis by email to the Regional Center which can be obtained from the official website of the concerned RC.
  • There will be separate guidelines provided regarding projects that require fieldwork. The students can also contact the Programme Coordinator for the purpose.
  • The original documents of the project have to be scanned and converted into PDF format for submission. Also, the guidelines for the Cover Page of the project have to be strictly followed.
  • The students will be provided with further guidelines about the viva-voce for the projects by the designated faculties of the Regional centers.

When to Submit the IGNOU Project?

The last date for the submission of assignments and project reports for IGNOU TEE June 2024 is 31st May 2024 . However, the university may extend the date further if the students are not able to submit the assignments, projects, and other important materials due to the network problem that occurred in the server.

As per the latest notification, the university has also mentioned that the students will be able to submit the project reports until 31st May without any late fees.

Also, it mentioned that the students have to submit the project reports online in place of offline submission.

Where to Submit the IGNOU Project?

As mentioned above, IGNOU has mentioned that the project reports have to be submitted online now by the students. If you are confused about where to submit the IGNOU project, here is the answer to all your questions.

Students are advised to get the approval of the Project Guide on the Project Synopsis through digital means by reaching out to the Regional Center by email. You can search for the email address of your Regional Center by visiting the page regional centre website.

The project reports can be submitted easily by the candidates on the official website of IGNOU at www.ignou.ac.in .

How to Submit the IGNOU Project?

Candidates who have been submitting project reports and assignments offline to date may find it a bit uncomfortable thinking about it. However, the steps for project submission online have been made much easier and more convenient by the IGNOU portal. Students can submit the IGNOU project quite conveniently by following these simple steps.

Step – 1 – First, the student has to go to the official website of IGNOU at http://www.ignou.ac.in .

Step – 2 – Here, on the homepage itself, you will be able to find the Online Link for Submission of Project Reports in the ALERTS section.

Step – 3 – As you click on this link, you will be redirected to a page of Guidelines that you need to go through to understand the instructions for project submission.

Step – 4 – At the bottom of the Guidelines page, you need to click on Yes for the question asked Do You Want to Continue?

Step – 5 – As you click on yes, a menu will open up from where you need to click on Upload Project.

Step – 6 – Now another page will open up of Student Support Services.

Step – 7 – Here, you need to fill in the details such as enrollment number, program, and others.

Step – 8 – Now, click on the Submit option after entering the Security Code carefully.

Step – 9 – Now, on the next page, follow the instructions and submit the project carefully.

IGNOU Project Front or Cover Page

The IGNOU Project cover page is an important element that you need to take care of while you are submitting the project report online. The guidelines for the cover page are already mentioned in detail in the Booklet provided to you along with the SLM. Also, the same guidelines of the cover page are mentioned in the guidelines page that you come up with when you are submitting the project.

There are some of the important details that you need to highlight on the project report cover page when you are submitting it online. These details are the project report title, name and enrolment number of the candidate, program code and regional center code, course code for which the project has been submitted, mobile number, and the email address of the student.

IGNOU Project Status and Result 2024

The IGNOU Project Status link should be linked at least 20 to 25 days after the last date for the project report submission. As soon as the status link is released, the students will be able to check through their project report status by visiting the official website of IGNOU.

Follow these steps to check your project report status.

Step – 1 – On the official website of IGNOU at http://www.ignou.ac.in , you will find the Project Status link when it is being released by the University.

Step – 2 – As you click on the link, a page will come up where you need to log in with your University credentials.

Step – 3 – As you click on the Submit option after providing the details, the Project Status will be displayed on the screen.

Step – 4 – You can download this status and can take a print out of it.

IGNOU Students can also check or inquire about their project status by emailing at [email protected] for the current status of their submitted project.

The final result of the project report along with the assignments will be also released soon by IGNOU on its official website from where the students can check them too.

Can I submit my internship report and synopsis after 15 Dec.in offline mode

1. I have cleared all my courses in Management Program MP (grade card attached) except Project MS 100. My Project Proposal has already been accepted & approved bearing proposal number – 117298.

As per the latest reply received from iGRAM IGNOU; ie REPLY- “Dear Learner, MS-100 project report of June-2022 TEE is under evaluation process and marks/result will be updated in grade card status shortly. With best wishes, Project Section, SED”; but still the grade of MS 100 has not been updated till date.

5. I have already emailed in the past to [email protected] , [email protected] dated on 12th September, 8th & 20th October, 1st, 9th, 12th, 16th, 23rd & 30th November & on 13th December for the query pertaining to updation of MS 100 grades.

I humbly request to kindly look into the matter as I am extremely worried whether my MP Final Project (Management Program) has been evaluated or not as my degree against the Management Program MP is on the line. It is requested to kindly update my MS 100 Grades at the earliest please.
