Flexible-User Zoho One Pricing

With Zoho’s flexible user pricing, you pay more per user than with all employee pricing—but you don’t have to buy a Zoho One subscription for every employee in your organization.

For each Zoho One user, or “seat,” you pay $105 per month. If you opt to pay annually, you can save 14%, getting the per-month cost down to $90.

This is still a great deal, considering the many business applications included in Zoho One.

All Employee Zoho One Pricing

Zoho’s “All employee pricing” on the Zoho One bundle brings the cost down significantly per user. 

You get 40+ business apps for the breathtakingly low price of $45 per employee per month. $37 per month if paid annually. 

Have 150 employees? $6750 per month. 10 employees? $450 per month.

There is a catch, however.

The free version of Zoho Show gives a good preview of what it offers, and the premium version provides access to its full functionality.

Compared to most presentation software out there, Zoho offers a good bang for the buck. It has a good suite of features that most competitors don’t have or charge more for. It’s a valuable tool for all kinds of enterprises. This review will give you details on Zoho’s pricing, features, customer support, and so on. 

Plans and pricing

Zoho Show has a free tier offering access to various features, but you should get the premium version if you want to make the most of it. To make it better, Zoho Show isn’t sold separately but as part of the “Zoho WorkDrive” package offering access to other useful software tools. You can pay for WorkDrive either monthly or annually. You save a significant amount if you pay yearly compared to monthly. 

The three different plans are “Starter,” “Team,” and “Business.” Starter costs $2.50 monthly or $24 annually; Team costs $5 monthly or $48 annually; Business costs $10 monthly or $96 annually. You can also purchase additional features such as 10 gigabytes (GB) of cloud storage for $48/year. The advanced tiers give you access to all Zoho WorkDrive’s features, Zoho Show included. 

With Zoho Show, users can select from a significant number of ready-made templates to build online presentations with or create theirs from scratch. There are over 100 pre-loaded templates available. 

When making presentations on Zoho Show, people within an enterprise can collaborate. For example, they can edit presentations in real-time, make comments for each other, and communicate using “@” mentions. After creating a presentation, you can download them in various formats, including PPTX, HTML, PDF, PPSX, and ODP. You can also import files from other presentation software and edit them on Zoho Show without formatting issues.

Zoho Show lets you control your presentation from a mobile phone or smart watch when it's time to present. It also has integrations with platforms like Slack, Twitter, and YouTube so that you can show live content from them in your presentation slides. 

After creating your slides, you can download them or publish them on the web for anyone (who you grant access) to see. 

Interface and in use

Zoho Show has an intuitive interface with features laid out for you. It’s one of those things you can start using well without much familiarity. However, it requires significant effort to become familiar with Zoho Show’s advanced features. You’ll have to practice a bit to get used to the more sophisticated functionalities.

Also, Zoho Show is only available via a web-based interface. There is no dedicated desktop application to use offline, so you must be online at all times when using it. Ensure that you have reliable internet access before opening Zoho Show because slow internet often crashes the web-based app and erases your changes.

Zoho offers adequate customer support, but the highest tiers of support require a paid subscription.  Free users can contact the company directly through e-mail or telephone (urgent requests only). However, paid subscribers can contact the company over the phone at all times and chat with a customer representative. If you pay for the highest subscription options, you’ll be assigned a technical account manager.

Zoho typically responds to customer support emails within one day for free users but much less for paid users. Generally, most individual users can manage the free support option, but we recommend large companies pay for dedicated support.

The competition

Zoho Show has many competitors. They include the popular Microsoft PowerPoint , Prezi , DocSend , and Salesforce ’s Quip . However, Zoho has the advantage of pricing. It’s significantly cheaper than competitors with similar features. For example, Salesforce’s Quip starts at $10/user per month to $100/user per month, while Zoho Show costs $2.50 to $10 per user per month. In other words, Quip’s lowest pricing tier costs as much as Zoho Show’s highest tier. 

Zoho stands out for its extensive feature set. Zoho WorkDrive grants access to Zoho Show and several other software tools, e.g., a spreadsheet and text editor . Meanwhile, with competitors, you’ll be paying for just one software tool.

Final verdict

Zoho Show is a beneficial tool to make the best online presentations in your organization. How you make presentations will make people receptive (or not) to your idea in the workplace. Hence, Zoho Show provides many features to help you build a professional presentation with minimal hurdles. Its extensive feature set for a low price is unbeaten by rivals.

Zoho Show also offers good customer support options when you run into difficulties. In addition to direct customer support, it also provides online guides and video tutorials on using its software. It’s a suitable tool for both individuals and organizations.

Canva is a service that can easily climb up to becoming everyone's favorite once they start using it. While most applaud it for its graphic designing prowess, there are many other things Canva can do that you probably aren't aware of . Among them is the ability to craft beautiful slides for your presentations and projects. 

By creating a free account, you can access thousands of templates on Canva. You can filter these by use case—maybe you need one for a professional business briefing or a casual one explaining why your pet dog is the best canine. Apple takes great pride in developing in-house solutions to meet every user requirement. While most of its products dominate the competition in popularity, the same cannot be said for Keynote , the company's version of Microsoft PowerPoint. The program was first released in 2003 with macOS Big Sur and has largely remained one of those icons you glance over and forget about. 

However, recent versions of Keynote have made it a compelling alternative to PowerPoint. Not only is it pre-installed on every Apple device, including your iPhone, but it also works best with the iPad touchscreen. Keynote has a largely clean and professional approach to the built-in templates, but nothing is stopping you from going creative. WPS Presentation

WPS Office makes some of the best solutions for creating and editing documents on smartphones , but their service offerings extend to Windows, macOS, and even Linux. WPS Presentation is perhaps the closest you'll get to Microsoft PowerPoint in terms of the user interface and how most tools are bundled in familiar locations.

This PowerPoint app offers real-time collaboration where you can invite your team members and work on the same document remotely. Like most collaboration tools, users can leave comments to suggest changes or add information for other people on the team.

WPS Presentation is not the only free product; you can utilize every app in the WPS Office suite. Unlike most competitors, you don't need to download or use a separate mini-app to make presentations. WPS Office has a document editor, PowerPoint creator, spreadsheet manager, and other tools all within its umbrella. Premium plans for this service exist, but they mostly cater to unlocking features for editing PDFs. 

Google Slides

As a netizen, you most likely already have a Google account. Not only is it required to make any meaningful use of your Android phone, but popular services that we take for granted, like Gmail and Drive, all fall under Google's umbrella. One such free service that the tech giant has at its disposal is Google Slides . While the barebones UI might seem lackluster at first, Slides has nearly the same level of functionality as Microsoft PowerPoint and can even be supercharged by add-ons. 

All of Google's workspace apps, such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides, provide an intuitive way to work in a team. You can add comments, use annotations, and share the presentation with limited access to others. You can use one of the many predesigned Google Slides templates for simple presentations , or browse for templates that cater to specific needs. Being part of a bigger service catalog has its obvious advantages, such as seamless integration with Google Meet, Gmail, and other products from Google that you already use. 

We recommend Google Slides to anyone who needs to create and edit PowerPoint presentations on the go and can't be bothered with working in a complicated environment. The service is also available as an app for Android and iOS, and you can export your presentations in a wide range of formats, including PPT, PDF, or PNG for individual slides. 

To Pay Or Not To Pay?

You'll notice that all the services we've mentioned on this list are free to use. In fact, you can use Office 365 apps online for free   — including PowerPoint, which makes purchasing a standalone subscription to the Microsoft PowerPoint app quite redundant. However, nearly every free alternative here short of Keynote also offers premium plans, but should you consider buying one?

For the vast majority of people who are looking for a robust software to create, edit, and share presentations with  —  these free options deliver exceptionally well in every aspect. Some apps like Google Slides and Apple Keynote let you work in smaller teams with the free tier as well. Apps like WPS Office and Canva tend to lock new and exciting features like AI tools behind a paywall, and while these are nice to have, you definitely can do without them. 

If you're looking for a presentation tool for a company with multiple people, you can scale up using any of the alternatives mentioned on this list. Both Google Workspace and Zoho offer reliable and enterprise-level plans you can upgrade to. For everyone else  — enjoy creating and demonstrating your PowerPoint presentations for free.

Tech giant Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu has said Indian entrepreneurs must change their mindset and embrace research and development (R&D) in order to build big billion-dollar companies.

Compared to India, the West and many East Asian countries had leapfrogged because they had invested in R&D, according to Vembu.

“Not just with the West, with East Asia too. Koreans have technology, the Japanese have technology. Of course, the Taiwanese have technology. Now, the Chinese have for example the largest drone company in the world is DJI. $8 billion. In drone, they are the world leader. So, it's not just the West, also East Asia has done it. Always focus on R&D,” Vembu said in the podcast Josh Talks.

Vembu gave an interesting example of how the Indian market was flooded with Chinese nail clippers to make his argument.

“You go to any rural shop in India, try to buy a nail clipper. It'll say made in China or made in Korea, right. Why?  I went down this rabbit hole. I asked why can't we make a nail clipper? It turns out the metallurgy, we don't actually invest in the metallurgy.”

He said steel companies in India were not building the kind of alloy needed for a simple product such as the nail clipper.

“Our steel companies only invest in the commodity steel, like the stuff that you build buildings with. But this is specialized alloy [needed for nail clipper] that have to hold the cutting edge.”

Similar trend could be found in other items sold in India, according to Vembu.

“It turns out it's not just nail clipper, your dental instruments, that steel is also very special steel. We don't make those. So, you go to a dentist, all the instruments are imported. Because, you go back, it's not the instrument alone, it's the metallurgy. We need to make alloys.”

Vembu said that he’d even invest in a team which could build such alloy.

“I mean right here in Delhi, in fact this was in my one of my presentation, we have the Iron Pillar. That has lasted 2,500 years. So, we knew how to make metals. We just don't today. We lost it along the way. So, we have to regain it. If you ask me where I will invest next: If I find some very sharp metallurgy team that's interested in making these all, I would invest in that.”

He said R&D doesn’t even need any big factories. “R&D, you don't think in giant factories. You think in like small workshops where you are doing recipes. You are trying various recipes. You are characterizing them. You're collecting data, you are forming manufacturing processes.”

Vembu said India should aspire to manufacture capital goods and not settle for anything less. “There's another piece of technology that we don't have in India. If you go to any big factory, all of the capital goods, all of the factory machines are imported. This has a very serious economic implication.”

Suggesting cheap wages cannot be India's strength in the long-term, Vembu said there were other countries that could make products cheaper. So, it's critical for India to focus on manufacturing capital goods.

“We basically settle for the low wage jobs - turning those machines, turning the knobs, operating the machinery. Not inventing the machinery. We need to be competing for Swiss jobs and the Japanese jobs and the German jobs. Otherwise, if we don't do this, well, already in textile belt of Southern India, the businessman will complain  our tailor cost us Rs 20,000, Bangladeshi tailors only cost Rs 6,000 and the Kenyan tailors only cost Rs 3,000, the same machinery."

"I say, well your competition is not Bangladesh, your competition is Germany where you're buying the machinery from. That's what I tell them. If you don't aspire to that, it'll be a race to the bottom. If we want a prosperous nation with equitable distribution of our prosperity we definitely have to invest in R&D. We have to figure out complicated stuff.”

He urged Indian entrepreneurs for a mindset shift towards R&D. “The mindset of a business person is I invest so much money, when is the return? Business people want to reduce the uncertainty of their capital. In R&D, you have to embrace the uncertainty, you have to accept that intrinsic uncertainty but that's the key problem, and the mindset shift."

“But the other side of it is, it doesn't cost as much money as building a factory. Like I talked about this metallurgy. Maybe two three crores a year, five crores a year can actually get you a very good metallurgical team. That's not a lot of money. That could be the seed of some billion dollar business.”
