A Place I Call Home

My home is situated in the city. It is not too big nor too small, just the perfect size. My family lives in the home. It comprises of my father, mother, sister and grandparents. We live in our ancestral home so my home is very vintage.

It is very old but remains to be super strong. There are six rooms in my home. Each family member has a unique room which they have decorated as per their liking. For instance, my elder sister is a big fan of music, so her walls are filled with posters of musicians like BTS, RM, and more.

Our drawing room is a large one with a high ceiling. We still use the vintage sofa set which my grandmother got as a wedding gift. Similarly, there is a vintage TV and radio which she uses till date.

Adjoining the drawing room is my bedroom. It is my favourite room because it contains everything that I love. I have a pet guinea pig which lives in a cage in my room. We also have a storeroom which is filled with things we don’t use but also cannot discard.

Our lawn in front of the house has a little garden. In that garden , my mother is growing her own kitchen garden. She is passionate about it and brings different seeds every month to grow them out and use them in our food.

The fondest memories I have in a place is my terrace. Our terrace is huge with many plants. I remember all the good times we have spent there as a family. Moreover, we play there a lot when my cousins come over. Thus, every nook and corner of my home is special to me.

My Sweet Home

Comforts of Home

East or West, home is best. Home is very dear to all creatures on this mother earth. So I love my sweet home. It is in fact, heaven on earth. It provides all kinds of comforts.

I live in Priyadarshani Vihar. I live with my parents, brother and sister. Our house has three rooms, a drawing room, two bathrooms, and a kitchen. It is airy and sunny. In front of it there are neem and a small garden, with grass and flower beds. We always keep it neat and clean.

Our neighbours are good and helpful. They are educated and learned. We respect them. They too respect us.

We live peacefully. Everyone in my house loves me. I am the youngest child of the family. They care for me very much.

We have a pet dog. Its name is Chickoo. Whenever I return from school it comes running to the gate, wagging its tail. If any stranger pushes the bell button, it starts barking. It is full of love.

Once, I was away from my home. I had to stay at my uncle’s house for two days. I couldn’t sleep. I feel homesick. As soon as I came back home, I felt very much happy and relieved. I feel very attached to it. The comforts of home give us great pleasure and satisfaction. To be with parents and brother and sister is a rare joy. I don’t like to miss it. It is a heaven on earth.

My Sweet Home Essay Example

Of all the places on earth, our sweet homes are probably the only places we feel safest. They are also the only places we are at liberty to do whatever we want without fearing repercussions. Our homes are our sanctuaries.

We are the undisputed leaders, we call the shots. We are kings and queens and our houses are our castles. Within the precincts of our houses, we are untouchable. I love our beautiful house. It isn’t much, but it is one of our prized possessions.

I love everything about it, from its size, design, location and if I had a choice, I wouldn’t have asked for any other house. It is still not yet in our possession, but in a few years’ time we will be through with the mortgage and the house will be all ours.

*Service is provided by writing AI tool essayAI

Standing at more than 15,000 sq ft. piece of land, our two stories building is designed in the southern style. Our house is quite large with five bedrooms. My parents were lucky to have bought it at 25% of its current market value. Our realtor had informed our parents that this area had the prospect of growth in the few coming years.

My dad was not for the idea, but my mother pestered him to consider the prospects of owning a home in the newly established suburbs. She had grown tired of the city life, too much noise, over congestion and everything was very costly there. She needed change or rather, she needed to revert back to her former self. She was born a country girl. My dad was the city boy. They met in college and she decided to move in with him to the city.

Seeing that we were among the first people in the neighborhood, the realtor decided to give us a 10% discount. What caught my father’s attention however was the fact that he could pay for the house through a mortgage. I was almost in my teens when we moved to our new house. I was scared of the change in environment.

I was so used to the city life that I had never ever anticipated in my life that I would live in the suburbs. I was worried that I would lose my friends when we changed school. The good thing was that the area was not yet developed and there were no schools. So, my sisters and I maintained the same school and since father and mother both worked in the city, each day they would drop us to school before they went to their respective jobs.

As time went by, I got used to the idea of living in our new home. The days were peaceful, the surrounding was serene and the people were friendly. When we moved in, they all came to welcome us as a gesture of goodwill. The trees around our homesteads were beautiful and the birds inhabiting them entertained us with their incessant singing every morning.

As I grew older, I realized that my suburban home was like heaven on earth. My city friends were always mesmerized by the beauty of our surrounding whenever they came over for sleepovers. It was always refreshing for them to experience something different in life. However, I did not share the same enthusiasm when I went to their apartments in the city.

Life was not as fancy as it used to when we first lived in the city. I could not even sleep peacefully with all the honking and noises outside. These trips were an eye opener for me. I learnt the value of having a home and how much my home meant to me. Our neighborhood has really changed, since we first set foot here.

Now, it is more populated. Schools have been built, we have a college around the corner, there is a mall, coffee shops- in short, we have everything here and we do not need to run to the city to get anything. We are one close-knit community and nothing gets by us. So, it is highly unlikely that anything could go wrong in our neighborhood, because someone is always watching. Incidences of crime are nonexistent. If you want anything, you just ask your neighbor. If there are wrangles between families, they are solved at a community level.

So, when I talk about my home, I’m not just referring to the house that I live in. My home is inclusive of my neighborhood, my community, the surroundings and everything in it. These are the things that make life worthwhile and memorable.

During the day, the place is buzzing with activities: men in suits going to work, women taking their kids to school or walking their pets or going for morning jogs and teenagers in groups strolling to their respective institutions to study.

The activities are not much different from the city. However, in the suburbs there is always calmness, people are never in a hurry, always greeting each other and sometimes standing together to ponder about the affairs of the community.

The evenings are also very quiet and peaceful, except for a few incidences of mothers shouting at their kids to stop misbehaving or sharp cries of babies. But, these incidences do not go unnoticed and the next day the neighbors may seek to know if everything was fine. Many people may see this as prying into other people’s business, but to us it’s a gesture of concern.

Our community is that close. The evenings are well lit with street lights and security lights from houses. There are also neighborhood watches, where groups of our courageous men take turns to watch over the community, especially if there was an incident that threatened our security. There are also police patrols once in a while.

Not even one single house is gated. Cars are usually parked in the driveways, without any worries. The driveway is well tarmacked and each household contributes towards its maintenance. Houses are evenly spaced and are arranged in a straight line. They all have beautiful kept lawns with hose pipes sprinkling water on them.

Next to the driveways are nicely paved pathways for people and animals to walk on. We support each other whenever we can. Whether it is a garage sale, where a family is trying to raise money or it is our high school sports team that wants fanatical support, one thing is certain: count on us to always be there.

All the houses have at least one tree, which makes the place quite cool most of the year. The trees are especially helpful during the summer when the high temperatures are unbearable. During the seasons of spring and autumn, the trees bring out a picturesque view of the place with flowers blooming and falling all over. Winters are very tricky with snow all over the place, however the warmth of people always sees us through.

The holidays are always celebrated in unison- no one goes outside the norm. If it is the Halloween, everyone decorates their homes with scary assortments, dress in Halloween costumes and go trick or treating. If it is the thanks giving celebrations, be rest assured that there is a turkey being cooked in every house. During Sundays, most people throng to the community church to get spiritual nourishing.

Standing majestically for more than three decades is our house. It has seen a series of makeovers over the years that it is a far cry from what it used to be when my parents bought it. A place that I still consider a heaven within a heaven, even though I and my two sisters have already moved out. My parents now run a coffee shop a few blocks from the house, since they are now retired.

My brother who was discharged from army duty lives with them. He has installed an American flag on top of the house just to announce to the whole world that he was in the service and troublemakers should keep their distance. Each time I visit the place I’m bombarded by nostalgic feelings that it is always hard for me to go back to the city.

The place is still the same. People still exhibit the same calmness, never in a hurry and always willing to come to the aid of those in need. The only thing changing are the people- they are either moving in or out. Most of the people I grew up with have either left for the city like me or have relocated to other cities.

What makes this place special to me are the special memories that it has given me. It gives me hope that amidst all the chaos that are happening all over the place, there is a place that people are still living in harmony irrespective of race, religion or any other factor that is used to discriminate people. Our family has come to the agreement that the house will not be sold, at least not in our time, and will act as memorabilia for our family.

Even when times are tough and I am feeling down, just stepping through the front door of my home brings a smile to my face. It is my safe haven, and I know that no matter what happens in the outside world, I can always retreat to my comfortable place and find solace there.

I am so thankful for my sweet home, and I will cherish it always. Thank you, home, for giving me so much happiness throughout the years! I love you!

A home is not just a structure of bricks and mortar. It is a place where our loved ones reside, and it fills our hearts with warmth and happiness. My sweet home has been my cherished abode for many years now, and I simply cannot imagine my life without it.

Paragraph on My Sweet Home Meaning:

It is often said that home is where the heart is. But for me, my sweet home means much more than just a place to live in. It’s a place filled with love, warmth and memories that I will cherish forever.

For as long as I can remember, my home has always been a sanctuary for me. A place where I could truly be myself without any pretenses or masks. It’s the place where I learned to walk, talk and dream big. The walls of my home have witnessed every milestone of my life and hold a special place in my heart.

My sweet home is not just a physical structure, but it’s also the people within it who make it truly special. My parents, siblings, and even our furry friends, have all contributed to making this house a home. The love and bond we share is what makes my home so warm and inviting.

Though I may move out one day, my sweet home will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s where I learned the true meaning of love, family, and belonging. And even if I were to travel the world and see exotic places, there’s no place like my sweet home that brings me a sense of comfort and familiarity.

So, to me, my sweet home is more than just a physical space. It’s a feeling of warmth, love, and belonging that I carry with me wherever I go. And for that, I am forever grateful to have such a wonderful home and family.

In conclusion, home is not just a place to live, but it’s also where we create cherished memories and build strong connections with our loved ones. My sweet home will always hold a special place in my heart, no matter where life takes me. So here’s to the walls that have seen it all, the people who make it feel like home, and the memories that will last a lifetime. Let’s never forget to appreciate and cherish our sweet homes, for they truly are the heart of our lives.

How it works

Home is certainly not a place…It’s an inclination.” “What I love most about my house is who I share it with.” “There isn’t anything more significant than a decent, protected, secure home.” “Home is a spot you grow up needing to leave, and develop old needing to return to.” Home is the place where I was raised. Where I played, snickered, cried, and learned. It is the place where I developed. Where I became me, a solid, keen lady, certain about myself, in my future and from before.

I accept that a house is multiple dividers and a rooftop over head. Home is a climate. The inclination welcomes me when I stroll through the entryway. Individuals hang tight for me to return home. My house is my unshakable establishment, and I will take it with me when I leave. I accept that house is the place where people become themselves, not essentially actually however intellectually. It turns into a shape that structures what their identity is. Home for me is made of encounters, snapshots of my life that assisted with transforming me and to instruct me. Therefore, my house is likewise individuals and when home takes on a human structure, it is called family. I accept that family is a relative term, nothing to do with blood, characterized by connections. Regardless of where I go later on, my establishment will consistently sit solidly in this climate and with these individuals who have framed me personally and shown me how to live. I realize that I can generally get back home. All things considered, home is the place where the heart is.

Regardless of where I go later on, my establishment will consistently sit solidly in this climate and with these individuals who have framed me personally and shown me how to live. I realize that I can generally get back home. All things considered, home is the place where the heart is. By definition – A house is a structure worked for home where as a house is a residence worked for one’s family. In any case, a house is something more uncommon than that. A house is, where you feel great. A house is simply cover. A house is a spot that one loves to live in, yet a house one simply lives in. A house is worked with a family, yet a house has no aims of everyday life. “A house has a place with you, however you have a place with a home”.

At the point when you go through the paper, you discover numerous houses available to be purchased. Some of the time at city intersections, you discover signs saying that there is a house accessible for lease. A house is a spot where individuals reside. It offers cover. There might be a great many houses in the city wherein you live, however there is just one, which you call your home. The house which your family decide to live in turns into your home. The developer just built a house. At the point when you moved in, it turned into your home. Home is where your family is. It gives enthusiastic warmth and security. A house, then again, gives cover. Typically individuals purchase a home and sell a house. Individuals who are away from their home regularly gripe about being pining to go home, not housesick. What they need isn’t a rooftop over their head, yet the passionate warmth and security. These days, each city has a permanent place to stay for the matured. They are not called house for the matured on the grounds that these spots give cover as well as enthusiastic solace for the elderly folks individuals. Other typical statements in English are: There’s no spot like home, Home, sweet home, and Home is the place where the heart is. No one at any point substitutes the word house in any of these articulations.

Home Sweet Home Essay

There is no place like home essay.

Every person  has a place which he treats differently than any other, the place where he feels more  comfortable  than anywhere else. It is not exactly the  place where the person lives  – it may be some  house or flat  from the past, for example, the one he or she lived during  childhood  in. But what is so specific about it that it plays such an important role in the culture of many nations of the world?

home essay

One cannot live somewhere for years without leaving a kind of trail, a kind of residue of oneself. You can judge about the majority of people simply looking at the way they decorate – or, speaking about it, do not decorate – the  place  where they are living. Also, I want to mention here the effect of the way things are arranged, whether the place is kept in apple-pie order or not, whether there are these little personal things that say so much about the interests and affections of the owner, and so on. The person undoubtedly influences the place of living, which is clearly understood because even if a  house is fully furnished  but uninhabited, one will immediately feel it upon entering. Eventually, the longer a man lives somewhere, the more his  home reminds  of him when you look at it. It probably won’t give you too much useful information, but still may be helpful in terms of overall impression.

I believe that not only the consciousness determines being, but being also determines consciousness. For example, a man that got into unfamiliar surroundings that do not correspond to his personality and cannot be changed is very often somewhat altered by such a situation, although not completely. And this fact only proves once more the interconnectedness of the person and his place of living. They both influence each other and the extent of this influence is unique for every particular case.

Historically, the  concept of home  has a very important position in some cultures. Englishmen, for example, are particularly  attached to their homes ; a famous proverb “ My house is my fortress ” originates in England and in the beginning had quite a direct foundation – a person couldn’t even have been arrested in his own  house . Even now there is hardly any place where a person may feel more secure and protected from the dangers of the outer world.

Key Points To Remember When Writing An Essay On My House For Lower Primary Classes

5 lines on my house, 10 lines on my house in english, a paragraph on my house for children, short essay on my house in english for kids, long essay on my house for kids, what will your 1st, 2nd or 3rd grader learn from this essay on my house.

Everybody has a strong connection to their house. The house’s structure, size, special features, elements of beautification and even the family members residing in the house make each home unique and special. Essay topics such as describing “My House” are frequently asked in class as part of writing exercises. Essay writing is an important skill that children need to develop from an early age. My House is a relatively easy topic as children can gather lots of thoughts and details about their house creatively. Let us guide your child to write an essay on My House for classes 1, 2 and 3 in a few single lines, a short paragraph, and a long paragraph.

Here are some tips for writing an essay on My House:

  • An essay on My House can involve different details about the house, such as its size, location, type, and architectural style.
  • When describing the house, you can talk about how the different features make you feel.
  • Make the features more appealing by giving the readers a feel of them.
  • Long essays should have introductory and concluding lines.
  • Talk about what you feel about your house, your favourite features, and why you think your house is the best.

Five-line essay for class 1 is the best way for your child to learn how to write. Here is an example of a five-line essay:

  • My house is my most favourite place in the world.
  • I live with my mother and father in my house.
  • My house has three floors and lots of stairs.
  • We have a garden outside our house with beautiful flowers.
  • I love staying in my house.

A longer essay for classes 1 & 2 sets the foundation for writing skills in children by gathering more ideas and including more details. Check out this example of a 10-line essay on My House:

  • My house is a beautiful three-storied building situated in the suburbs of the city.
  • It is located in a green and peaceful neighbourhood.
  • We have gardens in the front and back of the house.
  • When you step inside the house, you will enter a spacious living room.
  • Our house has five rooms. My sister and I each have a separate room.
  • My room has a balcony that faces the neighbouring park.
  • I spend time on my balcony every evening and enjoy watching the sunset with my grandpa.
  • We have a kitchen in the house that connects to the garden in the back.
  • We grow all types of herbs and vegetables in the kitchen garden.
  • My house is the best one in the whole world.

Short paragraph essays are a good place to learn how to write longer essays. Here is an example of a short essay on My House:

Every person needs a house to stay in. I live in a cozy house in the middle of the city with my parents and younger brother. Our house is just one street away from the playground where I go to play cricket. Our house has two bedrooms, one living room, and one kitchen. My brother and I share the same room in the house. Since my house is close to the main road, we find it easy to go from our house to any part of the city. We have a terrace in the house where my brother and I often play. I love my house because it is a great place to live.

Here is an example of a short essay on my house. These essays are the building blocks to learning how to write long essays:

My beautiful house is on the outskirts of the city. We have built our house on a big plot with lots of garden space and greenery to enjoy. My house has three bedrooms and a living room, along with a kitchen and a dining room. All of this is surrounded by a high compound wall on which we grow decorative creepers.

Our house is spacious and also well-lit since we have huge windows in all the living spaces. When we sit for our breakfast every day, we enjoy a wonderful view of the backyard with the lawn and flowers. Different materials such as bricks, cement, tiles, marbles, and wood were used to build the house.

My house is the best place in the world, and my friends love to come here and play with me. We have plenty of space to play all the games and don’t have to go out on the street.

A long descriptive essay about my house can be tricky to write because children need to write creatively after gathering several ideas. However, children can write a good essay by going about it systematically and maintaining the flow. Here is an example of an essay for class 3:

I live in a gorgeous house inside a colony in a small town next to the city. Our house was constructed recently, and we moved in a few months ago. It is a two-storied building with four rooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, terrace, and a basement. We have plenty of space within the compound to build a garden. We have planted many different types of flowering plants and vegetables in our garden.

My room is on the first floor with a big balcony that has a panoramic view. It also enables me to set up my telescope and observe the night sky comfortably. We have a big kitchen with a door that opens to the garden in the back. My parents take their tea on the lawn every evening in the kitchen garden.

My favourite part of my house is our terrace. It is a vast open space on the roof of our house which is nicely decorated for spending leisure time. There is a large swing on the terrace, on which I love to spend my evenings reading my favourite books. Sometimes I also call my friends over, and we play catch on the terrace. At night, the open terrace is breathtaking to look at. I can see all the stars and the moon as well when the skies are clear. I like to lie down and count the stars during such clear nights.

Our house is located in a very friendly and nice locality. There is a small market near my house from where my father brings fruits and vegetables every morning. We also have very good neighbours. They are kind and generous people who are ready to help at any time. I love my new house and all its beautiful features. I enjoy spending time in my house more than anywhere else.

From these examples of compositions on My House, children can gather plenty of ideas on how to write an essay on their own. This essay is also a great opportunity for your children to express their thoughts and feelings about their home. It also helps them observe their house in better detail than ever before, as they write their observations in words.

Our house has a special place in our hearts. It is the place where we feel safe and secure. From the examples above, children can pick up ideas and craft their own compositions on the topic.

Introduction

This poem talks about the comfort and pleasure of home. As humble as it may be, there is no place like home. It soothes our heart and brings us comfort. No matter how many beautiful places we roam, they will never measure up to home. The poem is divided into five stanzas. The rhyme scheme of each stanza is  aabbcc.

The poet says that although  we may roam  palaces and enjoy many different kinds of pleasure,  there’s no place like home , even if it is humble.  A charm from the sky , or the heavens, seem to bless us at home, making it holy. Even if we seek this feeling through the world, we can never find it elsewhere. The poet exclaims about his home, his  sweet home . He says that  there’s no place like home .

The poet says that when one is away from home, splendid things dazzle us but it is in vain, or of no use. He just wants his  lowly thatched cottage again  because there is no place more comfortable than home. He wants the birds that sing happily and come at his call at home, and  the peace of mind  he finds there that is  dearer than all  things. He again exclaims about his  sweet home  and says that  there’s no place like home.

When the poet gazes at the moon while going through some wild places, he feels that his mother  thinks of her child , or him, as she looks at that very same moon from their  own cottage door  through the woodbine (the common honeysuckle plant). But since the poet is away from home, the fragrance of the woodbine by his cottage door cannot cheer him anymore. He sighs for his  sweet home  in longing and says that  there’s no place like home .

The poet tells us how sweet it is to feel  a fond father’s smile , and have  the caress of a mother   to soothe  and charm you. He says that others may find delight and pleasures while roaming new places, but he desires  the pleasures of home.  He exclaims about his  sweet home  once again, and says that  there’s no place like home.

The poet addresses his home and says that he will return to it,  overburdened with care , or full of burdens and worries. He will find peace in his heart at home. He will not go away from the cottage that is his home again. He says that although it is humble,  there’s no place like home.  He ends the poem by exclaiming about his  sweet home  and saying there’s no place like home.

There is no place like home. Nothing can ever compare to the comfort and pleasure it brings. So, no matter how far we go, our greatest comfort will always be home.
