Here's your guide to unlocking all the Phantom Assignments for Battlefield 4

You've probably seen the Phantom Bow and want to unlock one. Well, before you could even consider unlocking it, you'll need to first complete all the Phantom Assignments, and we just happen to have a detailed guide for that.

In order to get Battlefield 4's Phantom Bow , you must complete the three Phantom Assignments.

Mp1st reader blog: ultimate guide to completing battlefield 4’s phantom program.

The MP1st reader blog is an open discussion lead by MP1st readers about the multiplayer titles and topics we cover. To learn how to have your voice heard, check out the Blog section on the  MP1st Forums  in the Multiplayer’s Lounge.

Here is my ultimate guide to completing the Phantom Program and its Assigments so far, from Phantom Prospect to the latest  Phantom Operative Assignment.  

“Hello operatives … welcome to the Phantom Program.” To complete the  first three  Phantom Assignments, you must be a Premium member for  Battlefield 4  on any platform . To unlock it, you need to go into the Leaderboards section on Battlelog and click the on the bottom left of the page. Once all the text populates, type in these passwords:

• “bumpinthenight” (without the quotes) for Phantom Prospect
• “epic dream worlds” (without the quotes) for Phantom Trainee
• “ 24344241893”  (without the quotes) for Phantom Initiate

NOTE:  You must enter Prospect, Trainee, and Initiate codes in order to unlock them. (You do not need to complete them first)

Once you enter the passwords, the screen will look like the photo below. If your screen looks the similar, you’ve successfully unlocked the Phantom Assignments.

Phantom Prospect

To complete the Phantom Prospect Assignment, you must complete the following objectives:

• Score 200 kills with assault rifles
• Score 200 kills with main battle tanks (including the new hover tank)
• Get a total of 300 meter headshots

For the 200 assault rifles kills, you need to be in a ranked server. I personally recommended that you join a Domination or TDM server. The ACE 23 is a good choice, in addition to the AEK-971, M416, and F2000.

If you want do your 300 meter headshots challenge at same time as your assault rifles kills, then the SCAR-H, Bulldog, SAR-21, and M16A4 are good choices. I personally like to attempt the challenge with the SRR-61 sniper rifle.

For the 200 main battle tank kills, you can either use the normal tank or the new hover tank; they both count. You can be a driver or gunner to get your kills; they both count. I personally recommended that you join heavy armor-focused maps like Golmud Railway, Rogue Transmission, Silk Road, and Caspian Border on Conquest and/or Rush servers.

Phantom Trainee

To complete the Phantom Trainee assignment, you must complete the following objectives:

• Score 200 kills with any pistol
• Score 20 kills in a jet
• Get two Shotgun Ribbons in a round

For the pistol kills, you’ll need to be in a ranked server. I personally recommended that you join a pistols-only server. If you find a pistols-only server then, I recommended that you join a Domination/TDM game mode server. The Deagle is a good choice, in addition to the SW40, G18, 93R, P226, M9, and MP443.

NOTE:  The Shorty 12G does not count.

For the jet kills, you can either use the attack or stealth jet; they both count. I was personally recommended that you join an Air Superiority server, but most Air Superiority servers are now a ghost town. If you are unable to find any Air Superiority servers, the second best solution is go on any Conquest server that has a lot of vehicles, like Altai Range and Silk Road.

Keep in mind that you need 20 kills on any type of enemy. This includes enemy infantry, tanks, boats, jets, helicopters, etc.

The best tutorial for flying and dogfight that I’ve found so far is by well-known Battlefield YouTube personality FrankieonPCin1080p. Frankie made this tutorial back in Battlefield 3, but it still holds true in Battlefield 4. For Consoles players, skip to 2:38 of this video.

I find the best cannon on the stealth jet is the 25MM cannon because you can do ground attack runs and not miss most of your shots in a dogfight with other jets.

If you’re still having problem with this, try to use the attack jet and try to hunt jeeps/bikes and low-health tanks with laser guided missiles. If you’re still having problem with this, let your friend play on your account and beat it for you. The final step to complete this assignment is getting two Shotgun Ribbons in a round (12 kills in a round with a shotgun). I highly recommend you join any matches on Domination or TDM servers. NOTE:  You must do this in order. If you don’t follow these instructions in order, you may need to start over. Make sure you take care in following these steps, since the Battlelog is known to have a few issues.

Phantom Initiate

To complete the Phantom Initiate assignment, you must complete the following objectives:

• Get 200 kills with LMG
• Get 50 kills with explosives
• Get 25 roadkill

For the LMG kills, I personally recommended that you join Domination/TDM game mode servers with high tickets. The Type 88 is good choice for low rank players in addition to the AWS, MG4, PKP Pecheneg, and M240B for high rank players. Battlefield YouTube personality Xfactor made a great tutorial on how to dominate with an LMG.

For explosives kills, you’ll need to be in a ranked server. You can use C4, XM25 Airburst, M32 MGL, Claymore, M2 Slam, AT Mine, RGO Impact, V40 mini, Frag grenade, M320, M320 LVG, or the M320 3G. All AT/AA launchers count as explosive killa as well. I’m not sure if the battle pickups count as explosives kills. I personally recommend that you go on Operation hurt Locker or Operation Metro to spam a few grenades.  Please do not put C4 on flags.

For roadkills, you need to be the driver of any vehicle, including the SUAV, Jets, and Helicopters. I personally recommended that you join full conquest 64-player server, unless you’re playing BF4 on last-gen consoles, then go on big and empty maps like Golmud Railway, Lancang Dam, Lost Islands, Rogue Transmission, or Caspian Border. Also you can get a lot of roadkills by pancake-ing snipers camping on Siege of Shanghai and Zavod 311 rooftops. You can work on both roadkills and explosives kills at the same time by putting explosives on jeeps and hunting both infantry and vehicles.

Phantom Operative

Now, how to enter the Phantom Room found in the map Hangar 21 to unlock the Phantom Bow.

There are many things that need to be completed before you can enter the Phantom Room:

• Wear Phantom Dog tag
• Wear Phantom Gun camo
• Wear Phantom Soldier camo
• Find a Final Stand Dog tags
• Wear one of Final Stand Dog tags
• Have you and three of your friends or foes wearing difference Final Stand Dogtags and pick difference classes that each other.

To get Phantom dog tag, gun camo, and soldier camo, you’ll need complete the Phantom Prospect, Phantom Trainee, and Phantom Initiate Assignments to get access to the elevator that takes you down to the Phantom room.

To find Final Stand Dog tags, here’s an  Imgur Album  that will help you find all of Final Stand Dog Tags on each Final Stand maps:

Once you and your three friends unlock everything you need, make sure you’re wearing difference Final Stand Dog tags and pick difference classes from each other. If not, you and your friends will die in the elevator on the way down. If you live, then going up to force field shield the Phantom Bow and enter this code into the keypad: 1290 429 397648 970

This is code to gain access to the Phantom Room and the Bow. Once inside the room, you still need receive your Phantom Operative Assignment orders by interacting with the papers found in the room here.

• Get 200 kills with the Phantom Bow
• Get 50 headshots with the Phantom Bow

I personally recommended that you join any ranked Bow-only server. If you have not found any Bow-only servers, then Domination/TDM game mode servers with high tickets is second best. The Phantom is not ideal in close quarters combat. Once you complete Phantom Initiate assignment, you’ll unlock the Phantom Operative Dog Tag.

Battlefield 4 Final Stand – Phantom Operative Code, Assignment, Phantom Bow

In what may turn out to be one of the most intricate Easter eggs in video game history, it appears that after nearly a year of clues, the developers at DICE are ready to wrap up the Phantom Program in Battlefield 4.

As has been the case for the last few DLC releases, Final Stand has players across the Battlefield universe trying to crack the code to the Phantom Program , this time focusing on the Phantom Operative .

How can I complete the Phantom Operative assignment and unlock the Phantom Bow?

It’s currently not known how the Phantom Operative assignment can be unlocked on Battlelog, but there are some clues that elude to how the mystery will eventually unravel.

When players go to Battlelog, then click on the Leaderboards option at the top, they can scroll to the bottom of the page and find a tiny skull icon on the left side. Clicking on this icon will bring up several lines of fake code that are as follows.

Phase 4 now active. Physical access restriction in place.

Here is where it gets interesting. The final line tells us that there is a physical access restriction in place , and it just so happens a few players have found the Phantom Room , located at the A Flag on Hanger 21 . The room is reached via elevator, and when players arrive they must enter a code to remove a physical barrier that blocks access to the room. The code is not currently known.

[Update 11/14/2014]

According to the Battlefield 4 Reddit, the code has been found and proven to work. Once you manage to survive the elevator ride (instructions below), input  1290 429 397648 970  into the keypad. This will grant you access to the room where the Phantom Bow can be found.

How do I use and survive the elevator?

If you’ve watched any of the videos that JackFrags has released over the last several days, you’ll know that it’s very easy to die in this elevator. The key to survival, it would seem, is to make sure you have all three of the previous Phantom assignments complete.

• Phantom Prospect Assignment
• Phantom Trainee Assignment
• Phantom Initiate Assignment

It also appears that you need four people in your squad, each having completed all three of the above linked assignments. Each player must also have one of the Phantom dog tags equipped as their right dog tag, as well as one of the unique ones that can currently be found on Final Stand maps. We’ve even seen players wearing Phantom camouflage on their soldier, as well as their weapons. We can’t confirm all of this is necessary, but it also doesn’t appear to hurt.

Where can I find the Final Stand dog tags? [Updated 11/23/2014]

These can be found on the four new maps that shipped with Final Stand. They are Hanger 21 , Operation Whiteout , Hammerhead , and Giants of Karelia .

So far this is no definitive map that shows the location of all the dog tags and where they can be found, but community members over on the Battlefield Reddit are hard at work compiling one. For your best chance to find numerous dog tags, head on over and read through the thread they have posted. In fact, they have a detailed, up to date post with all the updated information.

I’ve reached the Phantom Room. Now what?

Now you’re all caught up, since the code to continue on has yet to be discovered. When it is, and you’ve successfully entered it, be sure to check Battlelog to see if the Phantom Operative assignment has been unlocked.

'Battlefield 4' Guide: How To Unlock the Phantom Bow

A complete guide to unlocking to Phantom Bow in 'Battlefield 4' along with a video of 'Final Stand' Easter Eggs.

Although needlers and chainsaw guns were all the rage a short decade ago, these days gamers can't get enough old school bow and arrow. The classic weapon's comeback may have something to do with The Walking Dead's Daryl Dixon or the CW's popular Green Arrow makeover; but regardless of the reason, the weapon is back in a big way. The trend has spilled over into the world of video games in the last few years and it became the weapon of choice in Tomb Raider , The Last of Us, and Crysis 3 . Although the bow and arrow dealt some serious damage in those games, the destruction capabilities of Battlefield 4's Phantom Bow definitely wins the prize.

Battlefield 4' s latest DLC, Final Stand , released on November 18th for Battlefield Premium members and thanks to the overpowered weapon, the game is generating some unexpected hype. Battlefield 4 had a hard time recovering from a rocky launch and the first four DLC packs came and went relatively unnoticed,  but players wreaking havoc in private matches with the Phantom Bow has helped put the first-person shooter back on the radar and add more hype to the game's final DLC pack. Thanks to the Battlefield community, we now have a crash course on how a player (with the help of other dedicated players) can get their hands on the compound bow.

In the video above, YouTuber jackfrags explains how to access the secret area that players need to visit to pick up the Phantom Bow. Like all DLC weapons in BF , players will need to complete assignments (in this case, three) to unlock the bow. This one is a little tougher than usual, but thankfully, the early access players have already followed the clues and cracked the case. Here are the CliffsNotes...

Use the Elevator in Hangar 21 - This is more complicated than it sounds... Finding the elevator in Hangar 21 is easy enough, but players will need a team of four to get it working. First, each member of your team will need to be wearing one of the new dog tags released in the DLC. Each player must be wearing a different tag, so there can't be any repeats. Each player also needs to have the secondary Phantom Skull dog tag, as well as the Phantom Soldier and Phantom Weapon Camos equipped. Good luck assembling all of that...

Once you and your team arrive at the elevator rocking all the appropriate flare (on a ranked server), the elevator should be operational.

Unlock the Phantom Facility - Once players arrive at the Phantom Facility, which contains the Phantom Bow and a number of other secrets, they will need to enter a password on the keypad to unlock the room. The Battlefield community assembled on Reddit over the weekend and cracked the code together. Once riding in the elevator, any of the players can enter 1290 429 397648 970 to remove the room's force field.

Once the force field is deactivated, the whole party can enter the room and start admiring the treasures. In addition to the Phantom Bow, the room also contains orders for the Phantom Operative Assignment. It seems highly likely that the room contains other secrets as well and we have no doubt that the Battlefield community will uncover them shortly.

YouTuber Westie has already begun uncovering some of the other secrets in Final Stand , including an icicle knife and a mini walker. Here is a compilation of some of the secrets he's already stumbled across...

We'll be interested to see if the Phantom Bow craze actually brings a lot of players back to BF4 or if the game is too far passed its prime. There are certainly plenty of other new-gen first-person shooters crowing that market, so BF4 has plenty of competition.

Phantom Operative insignia

The Phantom Program is the title used for a covert, multinational unit of elite soldiers in the Battlefield universe that was active during the War of 2020 for unknown purposes. While the force had no apparent role in the outcome of events in the war, they were known to have been active by the time of the United States' Invasion of Mainland China .

In the real world, the Phantom Program is an Alternate reality game that DICE Stockholm and DICE LA created and continually expanded on throughout the course of Battlefield 4's supported lifetime. The ARG was facilitated through special Phantom assignments that were added to the game with each expansion and had their requirements initially hidden, and were only unlocked through the efforts of the community to solve various puzzles both in the real world and in-game.

In-Universe Overview [ ]

While specific details of the nature of Phantom Program and it's purpose are mostly uncertain, it is known to have been made up of specially selected soldiers from the military forces of the United States , Russian Federation , People's Republic of China , and later the Pan-Asian Coalition . Agents in the program are known to have special skull-patterned camouflages for their uniforms and weapons, and trained to use the Phantom compound bow in combat.

The Program's selection process for units consists of four "phases": Prospects, Trainees, Initiates, and Operatives. In order to access each phase, members of the Phantom Program had to access a special login system and enter specific codes to activate each phase, excluding Phase 4, which has a "Physical access restriction" and requires the agent to physically make their way to one of the Program's bases to continue.

Two confirmed bases of operation for the Program are known, one located in a secret military hangar operated by the PAC in Siberia, and the other located in the Harau Valley of Indonesia. Particularly, the Siberian facility is where soldiers who had arrived at Phase 4 of the Program's selection process were activated as Phantom Operatives and given the Phantom bow for later use.
